A mechanic caught the attention of internet users after revealing a foolproof trick to retrieve a screw that had fallen under the hood of a vehicle he was working on.
Bryan demonstrated the trick in a video shared on his Facebook page with the caption: “Mechanic trick nobody talks about.” In the clip, he begins by intentionally dropping a screw into a car’s engine compartment.
He then placed a small magnet inside a glove before putting it on his finger. “Now you have a magnetic finger that can fit into tight spots,” he said in the footage.
With the glove covering his finger, he was able to reach the area where the screw had fallen. Thanks to the magnet, the screw stuck directly to the glove, allowing him to quickly remove the part.
Bryan’s video has already racked up more than 1.9 million views, over 24,000 likes, and numerous comments from users impressed by the clever workaround.
“It’s not a stupid idea if it works!” argued one Facebook user. “Mine usually fall through a portal and are never seen again,” joked another. “Bold of you to assume I can even find the nut/screw that fell,” admitted a third user.
